General Information: Lavatera, or Rose Mallow, is one of those old fashioned garden flowers that has stood the test of time. It remains a well loved plant because its flowers are simply gorgeous and its super easy to grow. The silky pink flowers resemble hibiscus and its bushy habit can fill in garden beds nicely. It can have a tendency to seed itself out which is great if you want that but otherwise either deadhead it or pull out seedlings next year. Although frankly, its so pretty we can't see that anyone would want to get rid of the seedlings.
