General Information: 

Lobelia is a beautiful basket stuffer or garden bed plant. Covered in tiny blue, pink, purple or white flowers, Lobelia works in almost any garden plan. 

Lobelia thrives in cool climates and prefers partial shade to full sun. It requires well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Before planting, prepare the soil by incorporating compost or well-rotted manure to improve its fertility and drainage. Or if planting in containers or baskets, use a good quality potting mix.

Lobelia plants are generally resistant to pests and diseases. However, they may occasionally be susceptible to aphids, slugs, or snails. Monitor your plants regularly and take appropriate measures, such as using organic insecticides or handpicking pests, to keep them under control.

Lobelia plants typically start blooming in early summer and continue until the first frost. The flowers come in a wide range of colors, including blue, purple, pink, and white, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden.
