General Information:

Strawflower, also known as Bracteantha, are a beautiful and versatile addition to any garden. These flowers are native to Australia and are known for their unique papery petals that retain their color even after drying. Strawflower blooms are super long lasting both because the plant continuously makes new blooms,  but also because the unique dried texture of the petals allows it to dry on the plant without losing colour or shape.

Strawflowers are also able to handle very hot conditions. Once they are established they can handle dry conditions too, but when they are young and first planted they don't like drought. So they are very low maintenance later in the summer.
